Workshop Manager
📍 Brisbane, QLD
My client is a well-established business within the heavy equipment and workshop services sector, known for delivering high-quality work and maintaining strong operational standards.
They are now seeking a hands-on Workshop Manager to take ownership of their Brisbane workshop and lead day-to-day operations.
The Role
This position will see you responsible for running the workshop efficiently — managing people, workflow, safety, and performance to ensure all jobs are delivered on time and to a high standard.
You will work closely with senior leadership to drive productivity, improve processes, and ensure the workshop operates in line with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily workshop operations, scheduling, and job allocation
- Lead and manage a team of tradespeople, ensuring performance and accountability
- Monitor workflow, productivity, and job completion against deadlines
- Ensure all work is completed to quality and safety standards
- Manage resources including tools, equipment, and materials
- Coordinate with internal teams and suppliers to meet operational requirements
- Drive continuous improvement across workshop processes
- Maintain compliance with WHS and company procedures
Must-Haves
- Proven experience in a Workshop Manager or Supervisor role
- 3–5 years’ experience in a similar position
- Strong background in mechanical, heavy equipment, or workshop environments
- Demonstrated ability to manage teams, workflow, and performance
- Experience with scheduling, planning, and resource management
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills
