Workshop Manager

📍 Brisbane, QLD

My client is a well-established business within the heavy equipment and workshop services sector, known for delivering high-quality work and maintaining strong operational standards.

They are now seeking a hands-on Workshop Manager to take ownership of their Brisbane workshop and lead day-to-day operations.


The Role

This position will see you responsible for running the workshop efficiently — managing people, workflow, safety, and performance to ensure all jobs are delivered on time and to a high standard.

You will work closely with senior leadership to drive productivity, improve processes, and ensure the workshop operates in line with business objectives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily workshop operations, scheduling, and job allocation
  • Lead and manage a team of tradespeople, ensuring performance and accountability
  • Monitor workflow, productivity, and job completion against deadlines
  • Ensure all work is completed to quality and safety standards
  • Manage resources including tools, equipment, and materials
  • Coordinate with internal teams and suppliers to meet operational requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement across workshop processes
  • Maintain compliance with WHS and company procedures


Must-Haves

  • Proven experience in a Workshop Manager or Supervisor role
  • 3–5 years’ experience in a similar position
  • Strong background in mechanical, heavy equipment, or workshop environments
  • Demonstrated ability to manage teams, workflow, and performance
  • Experience with scheduling, planning, and resource management
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
