The Role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Training Sales Engineer to join the team in multiple locations across Australia. You will be responsible for delivering on-the-job training and coaching, developing tailored training programs, and ensuring all training content reflects the latest plant technologies and compliance requirements. This role is ideal for a highly skilled trainer with technical expertise in water treatment who thrives in a hands-on, client-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct on-the-job training and coaching for employees and clients
• Collaborate with managers to identify training needs and create tailored programs
• Maintain accurate training records and documentation
• Ensure all training content aligns with current plant technologies, safety standards, and compliance requirements
• Measure training effectiveness through KPIs and feedback, driving continuous improvement
• Foster a strong safety, quality, and compliance culture across all learning initiatives

About You

• “Train the Trainer” certification – Cert IV in Training and Assessment (TAE 40010 or 40016) (Essential)
• Trade qualification or relevant water industry qualification
• Proven experience delivering technical training, ideally in water or wastewater treatment
• Knowledge of desalination, industrial water treatment, and membrane technology
• Hands-on experience with operation and maintenance of water treatment plants
• Ability to work autonomously and take initiative
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
