Technical Account Manager – Water & Wastewater Treatment
Location: Sydney, NSW
Salary: Base + Super + Fully Maintained Company Car + Benefits
Are you a process engineer or technically minded professional with an interest in client-facing work? Our client, a global leader in specialty chemicals and water treatment solutions, is seeking a Technical Account Manager to support and grow key industrial and municipal accounts across the Sydney region.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in separation chemistry or process engineering, particularly in water treatment, who is ready to move into a dynamic, solutions-focused role in the field.
About the Role
Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you’ll take on both technical and commercial responsibilities, working closely with clients in:
- Municipal and industrial wastewater treatment
- Water filtration and liquid-solid separation
- Sand quarries and heavy industrial operations
This is a client-facing, hands-on role, with approximately 70–75% of time in the field, visiting customers throughout Sydney and surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and grow existing customer accounts
- Conduct site visits to troubleshoot and recommend process solutions
- Run small-scale trials and support chemical treatment improvements
- Prepare service reports, forecasts, and technical documentation
- Collaborate with internal teams to drive value and resolve customer issues
- Deliver technical training and support on products and applications
Role Requirements
- A degree in chemical engineering, or science.
- Some exposure to water treatment, separation chemistry, or process industries
- Strong communication skills and an eagerness to learn and engage with clients
- Proactive, hands-on mindset with problem-solving ability
- Full working rights in Australia and a valid C-class driver’s license
- Ability to travel regionally (5–7 nights/month)
