About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven and technically minded professional to join the team as a State Sales Engineer. The role focuses on developing new business, managing key projects, and delivering tailored technical solutions to clients across Victoria. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a consultative, project-based sales environment and enjoys combining technical expertise with commercial strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities within defined target markets
- Responsible for profitable sales
- Engage with customers to understand technical requirements and provide customised solutions
- Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to project handover
- Deliver presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations to engineering and procurement teams
- Maintain and grow strong relationships with existing clients and stakeholders
- Collaborate with internal technical and support teams for seamless project execution
- Meet or exceed revenue and business development targets
Requirements:
- Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field
- 3–5 years’ experience working with or within a defined target market
- Proven track record of successfully developing new business and managing accounts
- Strong skills in project management and solution selling
- Background in technical sales and business development
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
- Highly self-motivated, strategic, and commercially aware
