Service Technician – Rotating Equipment
Northern Territory, Australia
A leading industrial service provider is seeking a motivated Service Technician to join its Northern Territory team. This position blends hands-on technical work with relationship building and commercial awareness, supporting both equipment reliability and the ongoing growth of the business.
You’ll provide servicing, maintenance, and breakdown support for rotating equipment across client sites, while proactively identifying opportunities to add value, recommend solutions, and help expand the existing install base. Most travel is within the Northern Territory.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform scheduled servicing and breakdown maintenance on rotating equipment
• Diagnose faults, conduct repairs, and carry out preventative maintenance
• Prepare detailed service reports and maintain accurate documentation
• Build strong relationships with customers while on site
• Identify value-adding opportunities, recommend upgrades or solutions
• Support commercial initiatives and help grow the install base through service excellence
• Contribute to technical and operational improvement projects across the team
What You’ll Bring
• Trade Qualification: Certificate III – Fitter and Turner
• 3–5 years’ experience maintaining rotating equipment
• Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with customers
• Ability to value add, offer recommendations, and identify selling opportunities during site visits
• Commercial mindset with the ability to support business growth while delivering high-quality service
• Reliable, self-motivated, and committed to safety
