Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Irrigation Project Sales Representative to join their team. This is an outstanding opportunity to combine technical expertise, project management, and sales within a thriving agricultural sector.
The Role
Reporting to senior management, this role will focus on developing new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, and overseeing irrigation projects from concept through to commissioning.
You will work closely with agricultural producers, commercial customers, contractors, and suppliers to deliver tailored irrigation and water management solutions that meet customer needs and project objectives.
This is an autonomous role suited to a commercially minded and technically capable professional who enjoys building long-term partnerships and delivering successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with agricultural, commercial, and rural customers.
- Identify and secure new project opportunities across irrigation, pumping, and water management sectors.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and project cost estimates.
- Provide technical advice and tailored irrigation solutions to customers.
- Manage projects from initial enquiry through to installation and commissioning.
- Coordinate contractors, suppliers, and installation teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and customer expectations.
- Conduct site inspections and provide ongoing customer support.
- Drive sales growth while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
The Candidate
We are seeking a motivated sales professional with a strong understanding of irrigation systems, agriculture, water management, or related industries.
Must have :
- Experience within agricultural irrigation, pumping, water management, or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, stock water reticulation, pumping systems, filtration, or water automation technologies.
- Agricultural, irrigation, engineering, agronomy, or related qualifications highly regarded.
- Practical farming or agricultural experience advantageous.
- Proven success in technical sales or project-based sales environments.
- Strong customer relationship management and business development skills.
- Experience preparing quotations, tenders, and project proposals.
- Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
