About the Role
My client, a global manufacturer in power transmission solutions, is seeking a dynamic Sales Engineer to join their Melbourne team. This role is critical in building and maintaining relationships with key accounts, driving sales growth, and delivering tailored technical solutions.
The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams, identify new business opportunities, and provide outstanding customer support to ensure satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts across industries, including mining, packaging, and food & beverage
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive outreach
- Provide technical expertise, conducting equipment selection calculations and application assessments
- Manage sales orders, project timelines, and customer communication to ensure smooth execution
- Develop and implement customer engagement plans to maintain consistent relationships
Your Profile
- Proven technical sales experience in the power transmission industry (industrial gear motors, electric motors, inverters, and servo drives)
- Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics preferred
- Strong understanding of power transmission systems and ability to conduct technical assessments
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with customers and internal teams
- Experience in the mining industry is highly regarded
- Proficiency in CRM and ERP systems, with SAP experience advantageous
- Results-driven mindset with a passion for meeting sales targets and developing client relationships
