They are now seeking an accomplished Sales Engineer – Perth to spearhead business development efforts in Western Australia, with a focus on key industries including Water/Wastewater, Cement, Food, Process, Oil & Gas, and Mining.
The Role
The Sales Engineer will be responsible for driving strategic sales initiatives, building lasting client relationships, and overseeing the financial success of the Western Australian territory. This role is pivotal in shaping the growth trajectory of my client’s operations in the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans and budgets for the Western Australia territory
- Identify and capitalise on new sales opportunities to drive growth
- Prepare and deliver competitive quotations and technical proposals
- Meet and exceed financial, KPI, and sales targets
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments
- Ensure compliance with OH&S and company guidelines
- Provide technical and aftersales support to clients in WA
- Foster strong, long-term client relationships
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Regularly travel within Western Australia and internationally for business development
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will be a driven and experienced technical sales professional with the following attributes:
- Strong understanding of electro-mechanical systems with solid technical proficiency
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Proven track record in industrial sales, ideally within the targeted industries
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for relationship-building
- Commercial acumen with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively within teams and provide operational support
- Willingness to travel frequently across WA and internationally when required
