Area Sales Manager – Hydraulic Hose & Components (NSW)

The Opportunity
My client, a leading player in the hydraulic hose and components sector, is seeking a motivated and technically minded Area Sales Manager to drive business growth across NSW. This role focuses on selling to end-user customers and OEMs spanning industries such as construction, agriculture, and industrial equipment.
About the Role
Reporting to the National Sales Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for expanding market share by developing new business and nurturing key customer relationships within their assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business development while managing existing accounts with a solution-focused approach
- Identify and pursue opportunities across OEMs and end users throughout NSW
- Present product and service offerings to a wide range of clients, from small workshops to large manufacturers
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve performance targets
- Maintain up-to-date CRM records and track client interactions effectively
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in an external sales role
- Background in tool sales, automotive parts, or technical/mechanical product sales ideal
- Trade qualification (fitter, auto mechanic, etc.) highly regarded – formal engineering degree not essential
- Technically minded with a hands-on understanding of mechanical systems
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build lasting relationships across varied industries
- Self-starter with solid business acumen and a results-driven mindset
