About the Role

As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and growing customer accounts across South Australia by providing tailored automation and connectivity solutions. You’ll collaborate with a skilled technical and applications team, backed by a leading product portfolio and continuous professional development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sell a comprehensive range of automation products including sensors, relays, PLCs, I/O systems, SCADA, and controllers
  • Manage and grow key customer accounts while identifying and developing new business opportunities
  • Provide technical consultation and solution-based sales support to customers in food & beverage, packaging, pharmaceutical, water, and mining sectors
  • Work closely with engineering and product teams to deliver high-value, tailored automation solutions
  • Prepare and present professional proposals, quotations, and product demonstrations aligned with customer needs

Industries You’ll Work With

  • Food & Beverage manufacturing and process automation
  • Water and Wastewater treatment facilities and utilities
  • Pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and cleanroom production environments
  • Industrial Manufacturing, including packaging, chemical processing, and materials handling
  • Infrastructure & Energy, including transport systems, renewable energy, and building automation

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in automation, technical sales, or applications engineering
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field
  • Proven track record in selling to OEMs, system integrators, or end users
  • Solid technical understanding of automation systems, including PLCs, I/O, networking, and control components
