Sales Agent – Polymers & Chemical Solutions

The Company
Our client is a well-established supplier of specialty polymers, resins, additives, and chemical raw materials, partnering with manufacturers across Australia and New Zealand. With a strong reputation for technical expertise, quality products, and exceptional customer service, the business continues to expand its presence across a range of industrial markets. As part of its continued growth, our client is seeking a motivated Sales Agent to join the Melbourne-based team and develop new business while managing an established customer portfolio.
The Role
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, distributors, and industrial customers across Victoria.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities while growing existing customer accounts.
- Promote a portfolio of specialty polymers, resins, additives, and related chemical products.
- Provide technical and commercial advice to customers, recommending products that best suit their manufacturing applications.
- Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing, and manage opportunities through the full sales cycle.
- Work closely with internal technical and customer service teams to ensure outstanding customer outcomes.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities to support business growth.
- Achieve sales targets while delivering exceptional customer service.
The Candidate
- Ideally holds a Chemical Engineering degree or a similar qualification.
- 2–4 years' experience selling polymers, resins, additives, plastics, or related chemical products.
- Strong understanding of industrial manufacturing processes and chemical products.
- Proven ability to build long-term customer relationships and generate new business opportunities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage a sales territory independently.
- Current Australian driver's licence and full Australian working rights.
