A leading global company is seeking a Health & Safety Officer to champion safety initiatives at their Gladstone service centre. This is a hands-on, site-based role responsible for maintaining and improving safety standards for a team of 25 employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive a proactive safety culture across the site
- Monitor and improve safety KPIs, including safety observations and zero recordables
- Conduct safety inductions, training, and onboarding programs
- Lead safety audits, incident investigations, and compliance reporting
- Manage return-to-work plans with HR support and oversee WorkCover cases
- Report safety performance to leadership and contribute to continuous improvements
About You:
- Experience in a health & safety role within an industrial or service environment
- Strong knowledge of WHS regulations, audits, and incident management
- Excellent communication skills to influence safety culture and engagement
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with leadership teams
- Relevant safety qualifications (Cert IV in WHS or higher preferred)
