Health & Safety Officer – Gladstone

Drive a Strong Safety Culture | Global Industry Leader

Are you passionate about workplace safety and looking to make a real impact? A leading global company is seeking a Health & Safety Officer to champion safety initiatives at their Gladstone service centre. This is a hands-on, site-based role responsible for maintaining and improving safety standards for a team of 25 employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive a proactive safety culture across the site
  • Monitor and improve safety KPIs, including safety observations and zero recordables
  • Conduct safety inductions, training, and onboarding programs
  • Lead safety audits, incident investigations, and compliance reporting
  • Manage return-to-work plans with HR support and oversee WorkCover cases
  • Report safety performance to leadership and contribute to continuous improvements

About You:

  • Experience in a health & safety role within an industrial or service environment
  • Strong knowledge of WHS regulations, audits, and incident management
  • Excellent communication skills to influence safety culture and engagement
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with leadership teams
  • Relevant safety qualifications (Cert IV in WHS or higher preferred)
