Regulatory Affairs Officer - Plastics & Packaging

My client is seeking an experienced and motivated Regulatory Affairs Officer to join its Sydney team.

You’ll be responsible for ensuring compliance with Australian chemical regulatory requirements, managing quality documentation, and supporting regulatory projects across the business. This role offers the chance to work in a dynamic and progressive environment with exposure to a variety of regulatory frameworks including dangerous goods, hazardous chemicals, TGA, FSANZ, AICIS, and scheduled drugs and poisons.


Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Australian chemical regulatory requirements, including dangerous goods, hazardous chemicals, TGA, FSANZ, AICIS, and scheduled drugs and poisons

• Manage and maintain accurate quality and compliance documentation

• Collaborate with internal teams to support regulatory projects and initiatives

• Prioritise and manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment

• Communicate regulatory requirements and updates clearly across the business


What you’ll bring

• Degree in Law or Science, particularly Chemistry is advantageous

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Regulatory Affairs or similar role

• Strong understanding of compliance, regulatory frameworks, and quality documentation

• Impeccable written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent attention to detail, organisational, and time management skills

• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
