Regulatory Affairs Associate

Food Ingredients / Flavours & Colours Industry

An exciting opportunity has become available for a detail-oriented Regulatory Affairs Associate to join a growing food ingredients business supporting a diverse product portfolio across flavours, colours and specialty ingredients.

This role sits within the technical team and plays a key part in ensuring product compliance, maintaining documentation, and supporting internal stakeholders across customer service, NPD, operations and sales.

You will be involved in both day-to-day regulatory documentation and broader compliance initiatives, making this a great opportunity for someone looking to deepen their regulatory career in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain product documentation including PIFs and Safety Data Sheets
  • Review products for compliance with Australian and New Zealand regulations
  • Provide regulatory and technical guidance to internal teams
  • Liaise with suppliers to obtain accurate compliance information
  • Complete customer supplier questionnaires and technical documentation
  • Maintain product databases with current regulatory information
  • Support compliance with certification bodies (e.g. organic, halal, kosher)
  • Assist with product complaints and investigations
  • Monitor regulatory changes and industry updates
  • Support regulatory projects and reporting activities

About You

  • Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Health Science or similar
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in regulatory affairs within the food industry
  • Understanding of food ingredients such as flavours or colours
  • Knowledge of ANZ food regulations and nutrition panel requirements
  • Strong documentation and compliance experience
  • High attention to detail and analytical thinking
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Confident communicator able to work cross-functionally
