Regulatory Affairs Associate
Food Ingredients / Flavours & Colours Industry
An exciting opportunity has become available for a detail-oriented Regulatory Affairs Associate to join a growing food ingredients business supporting a diverse product portfolio across flavours, colours and specialty ingredients.
This role sits within the technical team and plays a key part in ensuring product compliance, maintaining documentation, and supporting internal stakeholders across customer service, NPD, operations and sales.
You will be involved in both day-to-day regulatory documentation and broader compliance initiatives, making this a great opportunity for someone looking to deepen their regulatory career in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain product documentation including PIFs and Safety Data Sheets
- Review products for compliance with Australian and New Zealand regulations
- Provide regulatory and technical guidance to internal teams
- Liaise with suppliers to obtain accurate compliance information
- Complete customer supplier questionnaires and technical documentation
- Maintain product databases with current regulatory information
- Support compliance with certification bodies (e.g. organic, halal, kosher)
- Assist with product complaints and investigations
- Monitor regulatory changes and industry updates
- Support regulatory projects and reporting activities
About You
- Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Health Science or similar
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in regulatory affairs within the food industry
- Understanding of food ingredients such as flavours or colours
- Knowledge of ANZ food regulations and nutrition panel requirements
- Strong documentation and compliance experience
- High attention to detail and analytical thinking
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Confident communicator able to work cross-functionally
