They are now seeking a Managing Director to drive strategic and commercial success across Australia and New Zealand. This is a rare opportunity to lead a high-performing team and shape the future of a well-established engineering subsidiary.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver regional sales and profitability targets in line with global strategy
- Develop and execute the ANZ market strategy across sales and service
- Identify and expand into new markets while strengthening existing customer relationships
- Represent the business in major contract negotiations and high-value customer engagements
- Oversee local team leadership, resource planning, and organizational development
- Ensure operational efficiency through process optimization and performance management
- Coordinate key marketing activities, including trade shows and industry events
- Drive continuous improvement and deliver reports to global stakeholders
What You’ll Bring
- 10+ years of experience, ideally in capital equipment or machine building industries
- Background in engineering or business administration (Bachelor’s or Master’s)
- Proven success in leading commercial and operational functions
- Strong business acumen and sales leadership capability
- Experience in contract negotiation and strategic market development
- Ability to build and manage cross-functional teams with a hands-on leadership style
- Fluent English; German language skills a plus
- Intercultural competence and experience working with European stakeholders
