Import Operations – Freight Forwarding

My client, a well-established and reputable freight forwarding company, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Import Operations professional to join its Brisbane team.

The role will focus on managing import documentation, coordinating shipments, and ensuring smooth end-to-end processes across international freight forwarding operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys problem-solving and client interaction.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of import operations, including documentation, customs clearance, and delivery coordination

• Liaise with clients, shipping lines, and transport providers to ensure timely and efficient movement of goods

• Maintain accurate records and data entry using CargoWise and One Stop systems

• Identify and resolve operational issues promptly while maintaining a high level of customer service

• Support continuous process improvements and contribute to team success

What you’ll bring

• Minimum 5 years of experience within a freight forwarding company

• Thorough working knowledge of CargoWise and One Stop systems

• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to think ahead

• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and professionalism

• Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and confidence in liaising with clients and partners
