Perth WA

About the Company

My client is an established Australian provider of severe-service valve solutions, supporting customers across the mining, power and water industries. With a strong presence in the market and decades of industry experience, the business provides specialist valve servicing, maintenance and repair solutions for demanding industrial applications.

Due to ongoing workload and growth, my client is looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join their Perth workshop on a permanent, full-time basis.

The Role

This is a hands-on position suited to a mechanically minded Fitter who enjoys stripping, inspecting, repairing and rebuilding industrial equipment.

Working from the Malaga workshop, the successful candidate will be responsible for servicing a range of industrial valves and associated actuation and automation equipment while ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Stripping, assessing, repairing and rebuilding industrial valves
  • Servicing knife gate, ball, check, butterfly and control valves
  • Working with actuators and associated valve automation equipment
  • Reading and interpreting detailed drawings and technical specifications
  • Identifying job, material and equipment requirements
  • Completing valve inspection and service reports
  • Diagnosing mechanical issues and determining appropriate repair requirements
  • Carrying out mechanical maintenance safely and efficiently
  • Ensuring completed work meets quality and safety standards

About You

My client is looking for someone who has:

  • Mechanical Fitter or relevant trade experience
  • Ideally at least 2 years of fitting experience
  • Previous valve servicing or maintenance experience highly regarded
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding ability
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Experience working within industrial, mining, power, water or similar environments advantageous
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality
  • Good attention to detail and a reliable work ethic
  • Forklift licence advantageous
  • Australian working rights

What's on Offer

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity offering competitive hourly rates, with the potential to earn significantly more through the company's bonus structure.

My client is looking for someone interested in becoming a valued member of the team and ideally building a longer-term career within the business. The position also provides valuable exposure to specialised valve servicing and severe-service applications, making it a strong opportunity for a Fitter looking to further develop their industrial maintenance skills.

If you have strong mechanical fitting experience and are interested in developing your expertise within the industrial valve sector, apply today for a confidential discussion.
