Service Technician – Rotating Equipment (Compressors)

Perth, Western Australia

A leading industrial service provider is seeking a motivated Service Technician to join its Perth team. This role combines hands-on technical work with customer interaction, commercial awareness, and a strong focus on delivering quality service. You’ll service, maintain, and repair rotating equipment and compressors across client sites, identify value-adding opportunities, and support business growth through reliable workmanship.

Most work is Perth-based with occasional regional travel and after-hours callout availability when rostered.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform servicing, breakdown maintenance, and repairs on rotating equipment and compressors

• Install, test, diagnose faults, and carry out preventative maintenance

• Ensure sites are left clean, safe, and compliant after each job

• Assist in the coordination and day-to-day operations of the Service Team

• Promote and sign customers onto preventative maintenance plans (Air Cover)

• Identify value-adding opportunities, upgrades, and pass on sales leads

• Build strong on-site relationships and represent the business professionally

• Train, coach, and mentor new or existing colleagues

• Maintain company equipment, tools, and vehicles in clean and serviceable condition

What You’ll Bring

• Trade Qualification: Certificate III – Fitter and Turner

• Minimum 5 years’ maintenance experience, ideally with compressors or similar rotating equipment

• Strong technical problem-solving and fault-diagnosis abilities

• Ability to clearly communicate technical and product information

• Intermediate computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Commercial awareness with the ability to spot opportunities and add value

• Organised, reliable, self-motivated, and committed to delivering high-quality service
