Field Service Technician – Perth
My client is a reputable and established provider of industrial equipment and services, supporting a wide range of clients across manufacturing and industrial sectors. With continued growth in the WA market, they are seeking a driven and hands-on Field Service Technician to join their Perth-based team.
This opportunity suits someone with 2–3 years of experience who enjoys working in fast-paced environments, troubleshooting mechanical issues on-site, and delivering strong customer service. Motor mechanics are strongly encouraged to apply, as this role offers a great pathway out of the workshop into a field-based position.
The Role
Reporting to the service team, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and diagnosing industrial equipment across various customer sites. The role is primarily Perth-based, with occasional regional travel and participation in an on-call roster.
Key Responsibilities
• Service, maintain, and repair equipment including compressors and rotating machinery
• Assist with equipment installation, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance
• Attend breakdowns and support fault-finding activities on-site
• Ensure all work is completed safely and to site standards
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers
• Identify improvement opportunities and additional service needs
• Complete service reports and maintain accurate records
• Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle
About You
• 2–3 years’ experience in a mechanical or field service role
• Mechanical trade qualification or similar hands-on background
• Motor mechanic background highly regarded and actively encouraged
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and customer engagement skills
• Reliable, motivated, and keen to develop
• Basic computer skills for reporting purposes
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel locally
What’s on Offer
• Up to $47 per hour + super + bonus
• Company vehicle provided
• Site allowances
• Ongoing training and development opportunities
• Supportive and collaborative team environment
• Long-term career growth within a stable organisation
This role is ideal for a mechanically minded technician especially a motor mechanic looking to transition out of the workshop—and build a long-term career within a field-based industrial environment.
