Field Sales Engineer – Sydney


Our client is a globally recognised manufacturer and technology leader specialising in industrial electrical connectivity, automation, and control solutions. Renowned for innovation, engineering excellence, and customer-focused solutions, they support customers across manufacturing, infrastructure, energy, transport, and industrial sectors.

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Field Sales Engineer to join their Sydney-based team.

This customer-facing role will focus on developing and managing key accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and providing technical expertise to customers throughout the sales process. The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving revenue growth while building strong, long-term relationships across a diverse customer base.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow an established portfolio of customer accounts.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
  • Provide technical sales support and product recommendations to customers.
  • Conduct regular customer visits, presentations, and product demonstrations.
  • Develop strategic account plans to maximise revenue growth.
  • Work closely with internal technical and customer support teams to ensure exceptional service delivery.
  • Maintain strong market awareness and identify emerging opportunities within key industries.


About the Candidate:

  • Proven background in technical sales and account management.
  • Engineering degree or similar technical qualification.
  • Minimum 2–3 years' experience in a Field Sales Engineer, Technical Sales, Account Management, or similar role.
  • Strong ability to develop customer relationships and influence key decision-makers.
  • Commercially driven with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable working autonomously in a field-based environment.
  • Valid Australian driver's licence.
