Our client is a globally recognised manufacturer of industrial automation, electrical connectivity and control technologies supplying customers across utilities, infrastructure, manufacturing, food and beverage, mining, OEM, system integration and industrial markets.

The business is well known for connectivity products, terminal blocks, power supplies and relays, while continuing to expand strongly across automation, PLCs, industrial networking, I/O modules, surge protection and Industry 4.0 technologies.

With strong local support, a broad product portfolio and continued investment in automation growth, this is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected global manufacturer in a customer-facing technical sales role.

The Role

• Develop and manage project-based sales opportunities across NSW

• Drive growth across automation, connectivity, PLC, industrial networking and power reliability solutions

• Work closely with OEMs, system integrators, consultants, end users and distributors

• Support project opportunities from early specification through to commercial delivery

• Build relationships across Sydney, Newcastle, Hunter Valley and surrounding industrial markets

• Identify opportunities within food and beverage, robotic cells, Industry 4.0, utilities and industrial automation projects

• Collaborate with distributors to support customer requirements and channel-led opportunities

• Work with consultants and end users to ensure products are specified into relevant projects

• Operate autonomously in the field while attending regular sales meetings and team discussions

The Candidate

• Proven sales experience within industrial automation, electrical, controls, instrumentation or related technical markets

• Strong understanding of automation products, competitor brands and customer applications

• Experience selling to OEMs, system integrators, consultants, end users and/or distributors

• Ability to develop project-based sales opportunities and influence specifications

• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage technical and commercial stakeholders

• Commercially minded, self-motivated and comfortable working autonomously

• Ability to build trusted relationships and provide value beyond product supply

• Experience across utilities, food and beverage, manufacturing, industrial automation or power reliability markets highly regarded

• Newcastle, Hunter Valley or broader NSW industrial customer exposure highly regarded
