External Sales Representative – Electrical Engineering | Sydney

They are currently looking for a passionate and results-driven External Sales Representative with sales experience in industrial products such as electric motors, gearboxes, and variable speed drives.
About the Role:
My client is seeking a technically adept and results-driven External Sales Representative to join their growing team in Sydney. This role is ideal for an Electrical Engineer with a solid background in technical support for electrical hardware used in power transmission, distribution, and substation fittings.
You’ll play a key role in managing existing accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering technical solutions to clients. With no travel or late-night meetings, this is a stable 9-to-5 position for a professional looking for long-term balance and career growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong client relationships across industrial sectors
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities (hunter/farmer approach)
- Deliver technical advice and solutions tailored to client needs
- Prepare quotes, proposals, and product presentations
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery
- Maintain and grow a healthy sales pipeline
- Meet and exceed sales and revenue targets
Requirements:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or Similar background
- Minimum 3 years of experience in business development or external sales (preferably with industrial/electrical products)
- Hands-on experience providing technical support for power-related electrical hardware
- Proven track record in both account management and new business generation
- Strong knowledge of SAP
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills
- Consultative, proactive, and customer-focused approach
- Seeking a stable, Monday-to-Friday role with no travel or late hours
