CNC Lathe, Milling & Vertical Borer Machinist
Location: Central Coast, New South Wales
Package: Competitive hourly rate + Super + Bonus

The Role
We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe, Milling & Vertical Borer Machinist to join the team in New South Wales. You will be responsible for independently setting up and operating CNC machines, producing high-precision components, and contributing to a wide variety of machining projects. This role is ideal for a skilled trades professional who thrives in a hands-on, technical environment with a focus on quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC lathes, milling machines, and vertical borers with minimal supervision.
- Set jobs, dial in datums, and manufacture jigs/tooling as required.
- Read and interpret technical drawings to produce precision components.
- Utilise CAD/CAM systems for programming and machining (training available if required).
- Perform quality checks using precision measuring tools and inspection techniques.
- Work collaboratively with the workshop team to meet production targets and client requirements.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment in line with company standards.
About You
- Trade or Engineering Certificate in Machining or Fitting & Turning.
- Minimum 5 years’ post-trade experience in CNC machining.
- Experience with Fanuc, Mazak, Siemens, or Fagor controls (highly desirable).
- Proficiency (or willingness to develop skills) in CAD/CAM systems.
- Strong knowledge of precision measuring tools and inspection techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated and safety-focused with good time management skills.
