CNC Horizontal Borer Operator
Location: Central Coast, New South Wales
Package: Competitive hourly rate + Super + Bonus

The Role
We are seeking an experienced CNC Horizontal Borer Operator to join the team in New South Wales. You will be responsible for independently setting up and operating CNC Horizontal Boring Machines, producing precision components to exact specifications, and ensuring work is completed to the highest quality standards. This role is ideal for a skilled trades professional who thrives in a hands-on, technical environment with a strong focus on accuracy and safety.
Key Responsibilities
• Set up and operate CNC Horizontal Boring Machines to precise specifications
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and G-Code
• Manufacture jigs, fixtures, and tooling as required
• Work to tight tolerances ensuring accuracy and quality
• Inspect components using precision measuring instruments
• Utilise or work towards proficiency in CAD/CAM systems (highly desirable)
• Collaborate with team members to meet production and quality targets
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workspace
• Work overtime as required to meet deadlines
About You
• Trade or Engineering Certificate / 1st Class Machining Certificate
• Minimum 5 years’ post-trade experience in a similar role
• Proven ability to read and understand G-Code
• Experience with Siemens (highly desirable), Fanuc, or Fagor controls
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Skilled in job set-up, including dialling up to datums and tooling manufacture
• Excellent time management and communication skills
• Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Self-motivated and reliable with a proactive, safety-first approach
