Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Technical Sales Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our growing team in Melbourne. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in heat exchangers or related process equipment and have a proven track record in sales. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage with existing clients while identifying and developing new business opportunities within various industries, including food and beverage, mining, and dairy processing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients to drive sales and expand market presence
  • Conduct market research to identify potential customers and assess their needs related to heat exchange and process equipment
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals that communicate the value of our services
  • Collaborate with the service team to ensure seamless service delivery and high customer satisfaction
  • Monitor market trends and competitors to identify new growth opportunities
  • Work closely with management to develop strategic sales plans aligned with company objectives

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in technical sales or business development within the engineering or manufacturing sector, preferably in heat exchangers or related equipment
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and operational workflows in food & beverage, mining, or dairy industries
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client and team engagement
  • Ability to work independently, manage time, and meet sales targets
  • A technical degree or qualification in engineering is preferred, though equivalent experience will also be considered

Personal Attributes:

  • Self-starter with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing new business
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Comfortable discussing technical equipment and processes with clients
  • Team player who contributes positively to workplace culture

Compensation:

  • Salary Range: base + super
  • Bonuses: Performance-based incentive structure
