Business Development Manager – Equipment Hire

A growing industrial equipment hire provider is seeking a driven and energetic Business Development Manager to join its Melbourne team.
The role focuses on developing long-term equipment hire opportunities across major civil, infrastructure, and industrial construction projects throughout Victoria. The position is primarily field-based, with time spent visiting customer sites, identifying project opportunities, and building long-term client relationships.
Key responsibilities
• Develop new business opportunities across civil construction, infrastructure, and industrial project sectors
• Secure long-term equipment hire contracts with contractors and project stakeholders
• Conduct regular site visits to identify opportunities and maintain strong client relationships
• Prospect new clients while growing existing customer accounts
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure successful delivery of hire equipment solutions
What you’ll bring
• Proven experience in industrial equipment hire or rental sales
• Strong business development mindset with the ability to generate new opportunities
• Experience working with construction, civil, or industrial project environments
• Confident engaging with contractors and site teams
• Technical aptitude or mechanical understanding (training provided)
