My client is Gardner Denver — a well-established global industrial manufacturer known for its range of compressors, vacuum and blower systems, and engineered air solutions. With a strong aftermarket and service capability, the business supports customers across industrial, manufacturing, resources and utilities environments, delivering reliability, lifecycle support and long-term equipment performance.
This role sits within the Aftermarket / Service division, with a strong focus on growing service contracts, spare parts, and maintenance programs across the assigned territory.
The Role
This is a field-based business development role responsible for identifying, developing and winning new service and maintenance opportunities, while also managing and strengthening key customer relationships across SA & NT.
Around 70% of the role is new business development, with 30% focused on account and key-account management, working closely with internal service and technical teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and grow new aftermarket, service and maintenance contract opportunities
• Convert existing customers onto long-term service programs and agreements
• Proactively identify target accounts and new business activity across the territory

• Work collaboratively with service managers and customer service teams
• Monitor market activity and evaluate new business opportunities
• Produce regular activity and pipeline reports for management
• Promote customer satisfaction, retention and service quality standards
• Support complaint resolution and positive customer outcomes
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a proactive hunter-style business developer with experience in service sales, aftermarket, maintenance contracts or industrial solutions.
You will bring:
• Prior experience in business development or aftermarket / service sales
• Strong customer-relationship and account-management capability
• Confidence opening new doors and building a territory pipeline
• Commercial awareness and strong communication skills
• Ability to work autonomously and manage priorities across a large territory
• Solid organisational and reporting capability
• Willingness to travel across SA & NT as required
• Competence using MS Office and CRM / reporting tools
A self-starter mindset and strong customer focus will be key to success in this role.
